Jabari Paul has more than 15 years of experience working in corporate advocacy, campaigns, and the nonprofit sector. He is also an ordained minister and a graduate of Florida A&M University and Northwestern University.
Prior to his role at The League, Jabari was the Head of US Activism at Ben & Jerry’s and a Program Director at the consulting firm, 50+1 Strategies. Jabari has also been a lobbyist and the political director of the nonprofit Faith in Florida, an affiliate of the Faith in Action where he led campaigns to expand Medicaid; include healthy food financing in the state budget; and pass legislation to end predatory, payday lending practices.
Jabari has a long track record of providing volunteer leadership to support social justice work. He has held several leadership positions in the NAACP, including serving as a member of its national board of directors from 2005-2009. He has also served on boards and committees of other organizations, including Common Cause Florida, People for the American Way Foundation and the American Heart Association Greater Southeast Affiliate, to name a few.
While not at work, Jabari loves international travel, watching sci-fi series and movies, visiting museums, and spending time at his family’s farm in Quincy, Florida. Jabari lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Joy-Dixon Paul.
